Who we are
The Canadian Case Series (CCS) is about learning by doing — an approach especially suited to adult learners. Unlike children, adults retain information better when it’s tied to real-world experiences and immediate application. Studies show that experiential learning boosts retention by up to 75%, connecting knowledge directly to action. That’s why CCS immerses business students in real, pressing challenges in Canadian business, helping them build the critical skills they’ll need to lead and make an impact after graduation.
The Canadian economy needs fresh, innovative leadership, yet only about 40% of companies feel prepared with the talent they need to compete globally. CCS bridges this gap by arming the next generation of business leaders with practical experience and the tools to drive growth.
CCS acknowledges and recognizes the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) peoples whose relationships with the land on which we work continues to this day. CCS was founded on their land - acknowledging this is only the first step toward reconciliation. We strive to centre Indigenous voices in our work, abide by the policies of UNDRIP, engage in ongoing education about the impacts of colonialism, and advocate for justice and equity.
Meet the Founder
Patrick is a strong believer in the power of experiential learning and the important role it plays in education. At the Beedie School of Business, he teaches the Case Competition Training Program, mentoring and coaching teams to excel in competitive environments. During his MBA, Patrick participated in 15+ case competitions, an experience that revealed a significant gap: a shortage of creative, Canadian-focused cases that reflect the unique challenges and opportunities within Canada's economy.
As a passionate strategy consultant for Canadian entrepreneurs, Patrick has sought to bridge this gap. By combining his expertise in strategic problem-solving and his commitment to growing Canada's business landscape, Patrick aims to develop and promote innovative case studies that equip future leaders to tackle real-world challenges and contribute meaningfully to the Canadian economy.
